OPEN ACCESS POLICY
Axis Journal of Agriculture & Biological Sciences (AJABS) is dedicated to the principle that knowledge derived from agricultural research should be a global public good. As a fully open-access journal, all articles are made freely available to read, download, copy, and distribute immediately upon publication. The journal operates under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits unrestricted reuse and redistribution, provided the original authors and source are properly cited. This policy ensures that critical research on food security, sustainable farming, and rural development reaches the widest possible audience without barriers.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
ARCHIVING STRATEGY
AJABS is committed to the perpetual preservation of its scholarly record to safeguard research for future generations. To ensure this, the journal's content is preserved using the PKP Private LOCKSS network, a distributed digital preservation system that allows participating libraries to create permanent archives of the journal. This strategy guarantees long-term access and protection against loss.
CROSSMARK POLICY STATEMENT
To uphold the integrity and permanence of the scholarly record, AJABS assigns a unique DOI to every published article, ensuring its permanent citability. As part of our commitment to transparency, AJABS supports the CrossMark initiative. The CrossMark logo on an article allows readers to quickly verify its current status and check for any important updates, such as corrections, retractions, or major revisions. This ensures that the scientific community always has access to the most accurate and up-to-date version of the research.
REPOSITORY POLICY
To accelerate the dissemination of scientific findings, AJABS actively encourages author self-archiving. Authors are permitted to deposit any version of their manuscript in an institutional or subject-specific repository (e.g., AgriXiv) at any point, with no embargo period. This includes:
-
Preprint: The original submitted version, prior to peer review.
-
Author’s Accepted Manuscript: The final peer-reviewed version accepted for publication.
-
Version of Record: The final, typeset, and published PDF as it appears on the journal's website.
ADVERTISEMENT POLICY
Overview
Axis Journal of Agriculture & Biological Sciences (AJABS) may accept advertisements that are relevant to its academic and professional audience in agriculture and biosocial sciences. All advertisements are subject to prior approval by AJABS Management, which reserves the unconditional right to refuse or cancel any advertisement at any time.
Guidelines
-
Submission and Approval: All prospective advertisements must be submitted for review. Approval is based on relevance, quality, and appropriateness, and does not imply endorsement by AJABS or its publisher.
-
Liability and Indemnification: The advertiser assumes full liability for the content of their advertisement and agrees to indemnify AJABS and its publisher against any claims arising from the advertised product, service, or content.
-
Content Identification: Advertisements must be clearly identifiable as such and must not be misleading or mimic the journal's editorial content in a way that could confuse readers.
-
Regulatory Compliance: Advertisements, particularly for agricultural inputs like pesticides, seeds, fertilizers, or technologies, must comply with all relevant national and international laws and regulations.
-
Digital Advertising: The use of AJABS's name, logo, or any copyrighted material in digital campaigns requires explicit prior written permission.
-
Cancellation Policy: Advertisers may cancel a scheduled advertisement by providing sufficient notice, as specified in the agreement. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
PRIVACY STATEMENT
The personal information (names, email addresses, affiliations) provided to AJABS is used exclusively for the stated purposes of operating the journal, including the peer-review process, editorial communications, and dissemination of published content. This information is kept confidential and will not be made available to any third party for commercial or other unauthorized purposes.
AUTHOR FEES AND WAIVERS
AJABS is committed to equitable access to publication. To support the Open Access model, the journal may levy an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance. However, full or partial waivers are available for authors with genuine financial constraints, particularly those from low- and middle-income countries. Waiver requests are assessed based on the applicant's circumstances and the manuscript's academic merit, ensuring that a lack of funds is not a barrier to the dissemination of quality research.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION STATEMENT
Axis Journal of Agriculture & Biological Sciences (AJABS) is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the global agricultural research community. We actively encourage submissions and participation from scholars of all backgrounds, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, career stage, institutional affiliation, or socioeconomic status. We strive to ensure that our editorial board, reviewer pool, and published content reflect a multitude of perspectives, especially those from developing regions who are directly engaged with the challenges of food security and sustainable agriculture.
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
AJABS is dedicated to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to make our website and published content compatible with common assistive technologies. Our ongoing efforts include providing alternative text for images, ensuring logical content structure for screen readers, and maintaining clear navigation. We welcome feedback on accessibility issues to help us continually improve the user experience for everyone.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
In alignment with its focus on sustainable agriculture and environmental resilience, AJABS is committed to minimizing its own ecological footprint. Our operations are predominantly digital to reduce paper consumption. We promote remote collaboration for our editorial team and reviewers to minimize travel-related carbon emissions and encourage the publication of research that addresses environmental conservation, climate-smart solutions, and sustainable resource management.
